    <ns1:description language="en">Tourism in contemporary economies have growing importance in achieving macroeconomic objectives. Multiplied effect of tourism is reflected in the impact of tourism on the development of less developed regions, demographics, employment, wage and salary income.
Mountain tourism in Zlatibor District may be generator of tourism and economic development of the district. Zlatibor, Tara, Zlatar and Mokra Gora have a different role and contribution to the development of tourism and economy of the Zlatibor District. These destinations are in different stages of the life cycle which shows the level of their development.
Natural resources in mountain destinations Zlatibor region are under-utilized for the development of tourism. According to the information gathered from the analysis of touristic and natural potentials of the above mentioned destinations some possible unused potentials for the development of various touristic possibilities can be determined and the plan the development of these destinations.
Further development of mountain tourism in the Zlatibor District can stop depopulation and a lag in the development of mountain areas of the district. Planning the development of a complementary destination Zlatibor District, recognition and affirmation of typical products of less developed destinations can encourage the use of natural resources and sustainable economic development.</ns1:description>
