o:3000 Kruševački okrug od 1834. do 1842. godine Kruševac district from 1834 to 1842 : doctoral dissertation sr The subject of the doctoral dissertation is the history of the Kruševacdistrict since its formation in 1834, as part of the administrative changes inthe then Principality of Serbia, with a necessary reference to theannexation of the Kruševac region to the Principality of Serbia in 1832–1833 year and the events that led to it. The chronological limit of the workends with the ousting of Prince Mihailо Obrenović from power in 1842,when the entire administration in the Principality of Serbia, and thereforealso in the Kruševac district, changed. The doctoral dissertation presentsan account of the political, cultural, social, religious, economic,educational, demographic and other circumstances in the Kruševac districtin the mentioned chronological boundaries, based on unpublished archivalmaterial from the State Archives of Serbia, the Historical Archive inKruševac, published sources and literature. After the annexation of theKruševac nahija, a new administrative organization was started in thePrincipality of Serbia, and in 1834, the nahija became districts, and thecaptaincy became counties. The chronological framework is related to thistype of administrative division. The Kruševac district played an importantrole in the Principality of Serbia, because as a border region it wasexposed to constant attacks by the Turks and Arbanas, and at the sametime its construction and introduction into the official streams of thePrincipality of Serbia began, which is shown in the paper. The structure ofthe work, in addition to the content, preface, introduction, conclusion andlist of bibliographic units, also consists of 14 thematic chapters.
