<dc:description xml:lang="srp">The doctoral dissertation explores the dyeing process and wastewater treatment after dyeing, using adsorption on modified natural zeolite. The first part of the research focuses on optimizing the dyeing process of acrylic fibers under laboratory conditions, aiming to enhance dye uptake by the fibers and reduce dye concentration in wastewater. The second part of the study is dedicated to developing a natural zeolite-based adsorbent designed for the removal of basic dyes from aqueous waste solutions. The research utilized two basic textile dyes, blue and red, commonly used for dyeing acrylic fibers, as well as two different adsorbents derived from the same raw material – natural zeolite. The study addresses two key issues: reducing the amount of dyed waste and ensuring its proper disposal. The dissertation's achieved results include:a)optimization of the acrylic fiber dyeing process;b)defining the most efficient procedure for adsorbent preparation; considering cost and process simplicity;c)determining the optimal adsorption model (linear and nonlinear modeling);d)defining the optimal kinetic reaction model for adsorption (linear and nonlinear modeling);e)defining the optimal kinetic diffusion model for adsorption (linear and nonlinear modeling);f)understanding the adsorption mechanism of dyes on the adsorbent;g)determining the thermodynamic parameters of adsorption;h)optimizing the ratio between the amount of adsorbent and the remaining dye in the solution;i)defining the optimal time required to achieve equilibrium adsorption;j)practical application of the process for treating model colored waters at the laboratory level;k)practical application of the process for treating original wastewater after acrylic dyeing at the laboratory level.</dc:description>
